If you are considering
a vacation to Bend, you probably already know it
is consistently ranked as one of the nation's
premier destination spots. The draw of Bend has
been written up in Sunset Magazine and called
the "Aspen of the Northwest" by Newsweek
magazine. It is both family friendly and ideal
for couples seeking a romantic weekend to
reconnect.
There are dozens of lakes, the Sisters
Wilderness Area, fishing, and fascinating
ecosystems that attract nature lovers from
around the world.
Wine lovers should stop by Newport Market in
West downtown for wine tasting in the afternoons
to discover why Wine Spectator magazine is
talking about Willamette Valley Wines.
A little closer to home, Portlanders love
that it is almost always sunny on the eastern
side of the spectacular Cascade Range.
Here are a few more ideas....
Winter
You will be at the center of it all….Mt.
Bachelor is only 18 miles from the resort which
offers shuttle service to the mountain. Downtown Bend
is just a mile or so away. You can save on gas
and not bother with parking if you walk using
the new footbridge and River Trail or take the
kids and ride your bikes (mother nature
permitting of course) or play in the snow.
Don't miss Winterfest where the crisp, sparkling winter nights and
clear days presided over by the snow-capped Cascades
and an active town combine
to celebrate one of our favorite seasons.
Summer
- Activities abound ... for
something different walk down to the river with a tube in one hand
and sunscreen in the other and float right to
Drake Park located in downtown! Or take a
relaxing moonlight stroll along the River Trail.
Yes, we love golf! Try one of Bends 23 golf courses.
Take Me to the River: Class IV rapids, 16" native
rainbows, miles of riverside hiking
possibilities, and the list of fun-filled
options goes on...and on...
Shopping
The Old Mill District & Downtown:
History and shopping intersect in the popular
Old Mill District.
Stroll down Wall and Bond streets and discover
Bend's finest collection of locally owned
boutiques and nationally recognized stores for
the city girl in all of us. Just a short drive
from the property, visiting downtown is the
quintessential Bend experience-really!
The Prime Outlets:
If a deal is what you're after, look no further
than the Prime Outlets. Within minutes, you'll
find yourself at the heart of a shopper's
delight. With Nike, Dansk, Eddie Bauer, and
other well-known stores.
